The Online, Summative, Test Administration Manual (TAM) provides districts with all policies and requirements governing administration of the South Dakota Smarter Balanced online, Summative assessment. The TAM is required reading for all District Test Coordinators, School Test Coordinators, and School Test Administrators who will be administering tests in 2018-2019 school year.

The Test Administrator (TA) Script provides the TA with information that can be easily referenced and printed during the day of test administration. It includes the TA script that must be read aloud and login procedures for students taking the online, Summative assessment.The TA Script is only one section of the Online, Summative, Test Administration Manual. See Section 10.0 Day of Test Administration (TA Script) of the Online, Summative Test Administration Manual. Note: Test Administrators may also need to provide the 100s Table and/or Multiplication Table from the portal for students who have this documented need during testing.

The Simplified Test Directions is a designated support that allows Test Administrators to simplify or paraphrades the test directions found in the Online TAM or TA Script according to the Simplified Test Directions Guidelines. Use of this support might require a separate test setting.

District, School, and Test Administrators/Teachers can use the Online, Summative, Test Administration Checklists to prepare for online testing.
