This module acquaints students and teachers with the online, universal tools (e.g., types of calculators, expandable text) available in the South Dakota assessments. This module is intended for Students, Proctors, and Teachers. For grades 3–8 and high school, it is encouraged that the teachers be in the room to answer questions from the students as they view the module.

This optional professional learning opportunity covers the accessibility options, including designated supports and accommodations, for students taking the Smarter Balanced assessments. It focuses on students with disabilities, students with a Section 504 plan, and students identified as English Learners, as well as general education students. It is intended for Assessment/School Coordinators, Proctors, and Teachers as an optional additional training resource.
